ANTIGUA BIRDS, 2008/9 TO 2010/11
The photographs in this gallery resulted from three 'New Year' family holidays between December 2008 and January 2011. They were taken at sites across the island including: McKinnon’s Salt Lake, Runaway Bay, Dickenson Bay, Galley Bay, Darkwood Beach and Lake, Potworks Dam, Devil’s Bridge and last but not least the place we stayed, Pineapple Beach/Long Bay.
The usual warning about the accuracy of my bird ID applies. The extra info after some of the file names is part of my own photo management system. The info is usually obvious when seen with a thumbnail or larger. For example: [f] = female, [i] = immature, [m] = male, [F] = in flight, [C] = catching live food, [P] = portrait, [T] = transporting material (for nest).
Those photos with a file name prefaced by ‘z’ are pretty ordinary efforts and are there just as records of other birds seen.
