EAST LOTHIAN BIRDS, June 2014
The principal purpose of our trip to East Lothian was to view the sea birds on Bass Rock and Craigleith (please see separate gallery). We did, however, get the chance to explore a little especially with visits to Aberlady Nature Reserve (west of Gullane, excellent walks) and White Sands Bay/Barns Ness (east of Dunbar). The photos in this gallery are of mixed quality (usual excuses, poor light, photographer incompetence etc.) and clearly a further trip to Scotland will be needed if a higher standard is to be obtained. As usual, the extra info after some of the file names is part of my own photo management system. The info is often obvious when seen with a thumbnail or larger. For example: [f] = female, [i] = immature, [C] = catching/eating live food, [F] = bird in flight.
