BUTTERFLIES SELECTION: v18.01 [283 photos]
The original gallery (Butterflies by species) will continue in existence showing not just the species but also things such as gender, relative age etc.
This gallery contains roughly twice as many photographs as the above (with some overlap) but does not provide any help in identification. Just like the ‘species’ gallery, the photos were taken mostly in the UK but with some from Portugal and various other parts of the world. For the last year or two I have not had much opportunity to photograph butterflies. Nevertheless, they have been added to the website to help keep a record of these wonderful and colourful creatures.
Finally, if anyone wishes to identify a particular subject in this gallery, then the original ‘species’ gallery should be of assistance.
