WINTER IN AROSA, SWITZERLAND
The town of Arosa is located in the east of Switzerland in the Graubünden region (canton). It is close, as the crow (or expert skier) flies, to Davos. While it has a long history as a skiing/winter resort it is also popular in the summer not least because of the many beautiful walks that are open all the year round. For many years now we have come to Arosa (with friends, many from Belgium) for our winter holiday. The photos in this gallery portray something of the surrounding area when the snow is on the ground. The first of the photos was taken with a small Fuji FinePix4700 in 2002 and the second in 2006 with a Panasonic FX8. Both were fine pocket cameras. Various winter activities will be illustrated in other galleries.
