AROSA, SWITZERLAND – BIRDS, MARCH 2018
This temporary gallery contains a selection of photographs taken in March 2018. Where appropriate, the better photos will be absorbed into the rolling ‘Birds of Arosa’ gallery after a few months. As in 2017 there was a substantial covering of snow and some heavy falls (which made photography interesting – for me at least). All in all I took more photos than in previous years and hence this gallery is larger than usual.
There were four new birds this year. The White (alba) Wagtail (i.e. Continental Europe and not UK/Ireland) was spotted on our last day. Unfortunately I couldn’t get very close. The others were all seen in the Obersee, the large frozen lake a small area of which is kept from freezing. The birds were Coot, Little Grebe and a few Pintail (Northern).
