OTTER TARN, NEAR BACKBARROW, ULVERSTON, CUMBRIA
Otter Tarn and its surroundings constitute a beautiful setting for a holiday and the photos in this gallery do not really do justice to it. There are five dwellings to rent with three more in the process of construction. The photos were taken at the end of April / early May 2017 – when we were in the area for a wedding.
In addition to the photos of the tarn I have included pictures of some of the spring flowers, a nearby sunset and an otter. Unfortunately the latter photos were disappointing and despite early morning visits and an evening attempt with torches I was unable to improve on them. For this alone I can’t wait to get back. Finally, in a separate gallery (Birds of Otter Tarn), there are photos of some of the birds seen in the area.
